Construction is complete on FORUM, a nine-story, 350,000-square-foot life sciences development in Boston, Massachusetts’ Allston-Brighton neighborhood. Tradesman Coffee Shop & Lounge is now open on the building’s ground floor. Visitors to the building can also enjoy a community-oriented art exhibition. Developed by Lendlease and constructed by Consigli, FORUM is the first purpose-built life sciences facility in Boston Landing. Turner Construction Company, joint-venture partner AECOM Hunt and the Los Angeles Clippers, celebrated the grand opening of the $2-billion Intuit Dome located in Los Angeles, California. The first event in the arena was a sold-out Bruno Mars concert. An important construction milestone was achieved as the final steel beam was installed in the roof of the Intuit Dome – the future home of the Los Angeles Clippers. Approximately 10,500 tons of structural steel in the bowl was erected in eight months. This includes seven roof trusses that each weigh 200 tons.
