International Dark Sky Discovery Center

McCarthy Building Companies celebrated a project milestone with the placement of the dome for the International Dark Sky Discovery Center. The project, located in Fountain Hills, Arizona, will feature the Craig and Ruth Gimbel Hyperspace Planetarium, and is expected to be complete in summer 2025. The domed theater will educate visitors with programs about astronomy, the night sky and other STEM education subjects. Planetarium programming may also include topics such as biodiversity, anatomy, aviation and more. McCarthy Building Companies Celebrates Completion, Topping Out of Vantage Data Centers in Goodyear, Arizona

General contractor McCarthy Building Companies recently completed the fully commissioned AZ13 building for Vantage Data Centers, a provider of hyperscale data center campuses. AZ13 is the third of five planned data centers at Vantage’s AZ1 campus in Goodyear to be constructed and delivered by McCarthy’s Mission Critical team. The team is simultaneously celebrating the topping out of AZ14 on the same campus, which is expected to complete in summer 2026.
