NCCER Releasing Updated Construction Curricula in 2021

Revised versions of NCCER’s Core: Introduction to Basic Construction Skills, Concrete Construction Levels 1 – 2, Electronic Systems Technician Levels 3 – 4 and Roofing Levels 1 – 2 will be released in 2021. Written in conjunction with national subject matter expert committees, these curricula offer the standardized training and portable credentials trusted by the industry. Boyd Worsham Appointed NCCER President, CEO

NCCER’s board of trustees has named its president, Boyd Worsham, as president and CEO, effective September 2020. NCCER has been implementing a formal succession plan over the last two years to fill the leadership position Don Whyte held since 2003. In 2018, Worsham, formally of The Haskell Company, was identified as the successor to lead NCCER into the future while Don Whyte remained on board as CEO to provide guidance and support during this transition. Crane Industry Services Offers Construction Career Path for Military Veterans

Crane Industry Services, LLC is working with staffing company AEG to help returning members of the military become job-ready in the construction trades as they transition back into the civilian workforce. The Department of Defense program is called SkillBridge. AEG pairs the individuals to partnering employers, while CIS evaluates their military credentials and trains them for a construction career.
