ITASCA, Ill. — Lake Park Associates Inc., and University of Chicago, chose PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC to spearhead the renovation of the Doerr Building in Chicago, Ilinois’ historic Hyde Park neighborhood, which included the revamp of the building’s core and shell. The Doerr Building houses high-tech facilities for the Chicago Innovation Exchange—an innovation hub for the University of Chicago, top engineering leaders and startup companies. MYCON General Contractors Begins Renovation, Modernization of 1970s Office Building

MC KINNEY, Texas — MYCON General Contractors has begun work on the exterior and interior renovation of its future company headquarters, a three-story, 46,071 square-foot office building located at 17311 Dallas Parkway, in Dallas, Texas. MYCON bought the building in in the fourth quarter of 2015 and will relocate to the new building in the spring of 2017. Originally constructed in 1979 and situated on a 1.9-acre tract, the building will be completely gutted and reskinned. Construction is targeted for completion in January 2017. O’Brien Architects is the architect.

Knutson Breaks Ground on $14.25M Health and Science Alliance Center

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Knutson Construction has been awarded the role of construction manager for the new Saint Paul College Health and Science Alliance Center project in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The HSAC will include a 39,000-square-foot addition and 5,400-square-foot renovation allowing more space for the growing health and science programs offered by Saint Paul College. The new space will feature a plumbing shop, business/industry and university center classrooms, sim labs and mechanical rooms on the lower and penthouse levels.
