The Korte Company begins construction on the Edmond Readiness Center in Edmond, Oklahoma. Originally constructed in 1971 as an armory and indoor firing range, the Edmond Readiness Center project’s scope of work includes a comprehensive interior renovation of the existing 28,000-square-foot facility. Today, the facility serves as the battalion headquarters for the Oklahoma Army National Guard 1st Battalion, 179th Regiment. Purchased by Buffalo Bayou Partnership in 2003, as part of its master plan to transform a 10-mile stretch of the neglected Buffalo Bayou into a thriving waterfront, the 12,700-square-foot former coffee-roasting facility required extensive work to rehabilitate the 1910 industrial building. LOUIS, Mo. – When the main cell house building at the historic Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in San Francisco, California, was constructed in 1910-1912, prison workers mixed salt water from the surrounding San Francisco Bay and brick rubble in the concrete support beams. Coupled with the island’s extreme weather conditions, the large, cast-in-place concrete support beams in the original citadel and basement shower room areas that support the main cellblock structures began to deteriorate and fail, posing major structural damage to the historic building. Hunt Construction Group Celebrates Topping Out at Iconic Miami Dolphins’ Stadium

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Hunt Construction Group, an AECOM company, recently celebrated the phase two topping out of the 65,326-seat Dolphins’ stadium, home to the NFL’s Miami Dolphins. Hunt is the construction manager for the multi-year renovation that will modernize this global entertainment destination.
