Another building of the Nowy Rynek complex, located in Poznan (Poland), has received its occupancy permit. Phase D provides approximately 39,000 square meters of modern office space and will be the first investment in the region to apply for the WELL Core&Shell certificate. Nowy Rynek will create a new quarter of Poznan. Its total area, which includes five buildings with different functionalities, will be 100,000 square meters. Design-Build Team to Construct New Placer County Health and Human Services Center

A Design-Build contract for the $79.8-million Health and Human Services Center, by the Placer County board of supervisors, was recently awarded to the Turner Construction Company/AC Martin team. The new facility is included in the county’s recently updated master plan for the Placer County Government Center, and will help consolidate existing staff and services from six divisions into a 142,000-square-foot facility in North Auburn, California. Joint Venture Completes Design-Build Work on 1st Wastewater Treatment Plant in B.C.

Design-Build work has been completed on the first wastewater treatment plant in Victoria, British Columbia. The McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant provides tertiary treatment for wastewater from the core area municipalities of Victoria, Esquimalt, Saanich, Oak Bay, View Royal, Langford and Colwood, and the Esquimalt and Songhees nations. Work at the facility began in 2017 by Harbour Resource Partners, a joint venture between AECOM and Graham. The plant is the main component of a CAD$775-million wastewater program undertaken by the Capital Regional District. STRABAG subsidiary ZÜBLIN and Dreßler Bau GmbH are working together as management contractors in a consortium to realize the new public administration headquarters in the heart of Dresden (Germany). The Design-Build contract, which will leave its mark on the Dresden cityscape, was awarded by Kommunale Immobilien Dresden GmbH & Co. KG with a fixed lump sum price of € 116 million.
