Construction is complete on FORUM, a nine-story, 350,000-square-foot life sciences development in Boston, Massachusetts’ Allston-Brighton neighborhood. Tradesman Coffee Shop & Lounge is now open on the building’s ground floor. Visitors to the building can also enjoy a community-oriented art exhibition. Germany’s first YEXIO data center has entered operation – a milestone for sustainable digital infrastructure. The project, delivered by HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions and Palladio Partners, marks the launch of a nationwide network of 15 decentralized edge data centers. Construction has commenced for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Northwest Division, located in North Carolina. Swinerton Builders is serving as the general contractor for the $19.7-million build. The project includes sustainable elements that create renewable energy onsite as part of Charlotte’s goal to power facilities and fleet vehicles entirely with zero-carbon sources by 2030. The team broke ground this summer for an anticipated completion in September 2026. As construction manager, Swinerton will oversee preconstruction, compliance, field operations and risk management. The signing of the construction team agreement between Kadans Science Partner, and BAM Bouw en Techniek, officially marked the start of construction on the innovative transition building “The Bridge” at Utrecht Science Park in the Netherlands.
