First Students Welcomed at University of Colorado Boulder’s Newest, Largest Residence Hall

The new Williams Village East residence hall at the University of Colorado Boulder welcomed its first students for the fall 2019 semester. The 178,000-square-foot residence hall, the university’s largest, houses a total of 705 students. The $96.7-million residence hall was designed by KWK Architects as part of the Design-Build team, which also included architect-of-record alm2s and Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Construction on Williams Village East began in August 2017. AIA Releases Updated Construction Management Contract Documents

The American Institute of Architects is releasing thirteen new and updated Construction Management documents, including the Construction Manager as Constructor and the Construction Manager as Adviser families. CMcs are brought on in the beginning of the preconstruction phase of a project to provide collaboration and input, which allows for greater efficiency from project inception. The new $9.5-million Mastic Beach Ambulance Company headquarters, located in Mastic Beach, New York, has recently been completed. The project team included general contractor Stalco Construction; architect, site engineer and construction manager L.K. McLean Associates; mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer Nelson & Pope and structural engineer TDM Consulting Engineers. The new two-story structure totals 18,000 square feet. VINCI Launches Upgrade Works at Toulon Hy Airport in France

VINCI Airports began operating the airport in 2015 under a 25-year French government concession awarded by the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile and the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.
