The topping out of Houston Methodist’s new Cypress Hospital campus, located in the greater Houston, Texas area, was recently celebrated. McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. serves as construction manager at risk. The campus sits on 105 acres and consists of a seven-story hospital, two medical office buildings and a central utility plant, with a mixture of built-out space, as well as a shell for future growth. Symbolic Topping Out Signifies Milestone for Nowy Rynek Complex

The symbolic topping out of building E., as part of the Nowy Rynek complex in Poznań, Poland, signifies the end of construction works, which began in April 2021. The office building, designed by the JEMS Architekci studio and built by Skanska, will provide 28,500 square meters of sustainable, innovative office space to the Poznań market. The commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023. Nowy Rynek is a project that will ultimately consist of five buildings, with a total usable area of more than 100,000 square meters. The new six-story Behavioral Health Teaching Facility, at University of Washington’s Medical Center-Northwest in Seattle, will include 150 patient beds and more than 184,000 square feet of clinical and administrative space. The project will feature 75 long-term civil commitment beds, 25 geropsychiatric beds and 50 licensed med-surgery beds with the capacity to treat patients with psychiatric diagnoses and/or substance use disorders.
