Skanska has signed a contract with the Norwegian Road Authority to build a subsea tunnel in Rogaland County, Norway. The contract is worth approximately NOK 5 billion, about SEK 5.2 billion, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2022. The E39 Rogfast project is a 26.7-kilometer-long subsea road tunnel – the Boknafjord tunnel – between the municipalities Randaberg and Bokn in Rogaland County, Norway. The new Mitikah mixed-use development recently opened in Mexico City, and includes the largest retail center in Latin America. Stantec provided retail design as part of the larger project design team with Cesar Pelli, Enrique Norten, SMA and Colonnier y Asociados. The builder was Parks. The expansive development will be home to residential and commercial space, including a movie theater, major department stores and more than 280 retail spaces spanning five floors, adding up to nearly 1.29 million square feet. Transformation of England’s Scunthorpe Town Centre Delivered
A £1.4-million public realm project, which has re-vamped Church Square in London, England’s Scunthorpe Town Centre, was recently delivered by Esh Construction. Working on behalf of North Lincolnshire Council, the scheme formed the second phase of the Scunthorpe Urban Park development, supported by the Government’s Towns Fund initiative. The new park and gardens have been created to drive footfall to the town, and feature ultra-modern stonework, weathered steel and a dramatic green makeover.
