The Republic of Benin’s Ministry of Health has signed a contract with a consortium led by Bouygues Bâtiment International for the development and construction of the university hospital in Abomey-Calavi, Africa’s second largest city. Representing a total amount of €175 million, this project of more than 40,000 square meters on two levels will have a capacity of 434 beds and places. It will include six large hospitalization units. CSCEC Builds Epidemic Control Facility in Maldives
Constructed gratis by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, a quarantine facility for proprietors in the Maldives (South Asia Islands) to accommodate foreign workers for medical observation was recently completed and delivered. The project covers an area of about 5,000 square meters, and the facility will be able to accommodate 800 people. The project officially started on April 27, and construction took 22 days to complete. It takes up an area of 4,987.5 square meters and a construction area of 2,443 square meters, including four two-story prefabricated dormitories, one dining facility and two-bathroom facilities. PORR Wins S16 Expressway Infrastructure Project in Poland
PORR S.A. and the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways signed a contract for Design-Build project for the S16 expressway Olsztyn-Ełk, in the section from Borki Wielkie to Mrągowo. The 13-kilometer-long expressway section will be built within a three-year period along with the construction of the Mrągowo ring road. The contract is worth around EUR 115m. The contract covers the design and construction of a dual-carriageway express road running from Borki Wielkie to Mrągowo with two lanes in each direction, paved over with asphalt, as well as Mrągowo’s ring road.
