Fluor-Led A27/A1 Motorways Widening Project Opens to Traffic in the Netherlands

Fluor Corporation’s project to widen and upgrade A27/A1 motorways in the Netherlands has officially opened to traffic. The upgraded motorways connect Utrecht North and the Eemnes Junction, as well as the A1 motorway between the Eemnes Junction and the Bunschoten-Spakenburg connection. The project was awarded in 2016 by the directorate-general for infrastructure and water management of the Netherlands [Rijkswaterstaat] to the 3Angle B.V. special purpose company, comprising Fluor, 3i Infrastructure and Heijmans Capital. Balfour Beatty’s 50/50 Far East joint venture, Gammon Construction, has been awarded a HK$5.5-billion works contract of the Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong to construct the final stage of the Lyric Theatre Development.
