Construction Begins on Major Military Aircraft Hangar in South Australia

General contractor BESIX Watpac has begun construction on the $200-million Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility adjacent to the Royal Australian Air Force Edinburgh base in northern Adelaide, South Australia. The project is one of the largest ever undertaken by Renewal SA, the South Australian Government’s urban development agency, and is a key development in enhancing Australia’s military infrastructure. The BESIX Watpac team has taken control of the 16-hectare site, where they will build a 2.1-hectare facility specifically designed for the maintenance and modification of 737-sized aircrafts. Bishop Auckland’s new bus station in England is taking shape as the building’s steel frame reaches completion. Marking a key construction milestone on the project, more than 120 hot-rolled steel girders weighing a total of 23.49 tons have been installed. Groundbreaking Held for Lake County Sheriff’s Office

The Design-Build team of Gilbane Building Company, K2M and Lakeland, The Construction Group broke ground on the new Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Painesville, Ohio. The correctional facility, located across the street from the county’s current jail, will increase the capacity from 355 to 504 beds over three and a half floors and 250,000 square feet. It is designed to enhance the criminal justice system with innovations in inmate supervision, mental health treatment, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, medical care and post-release supervision through intensive probation. The project is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027.
