Turner Secures Contract to Build Westchester Medical Center Patient Care Tower
Turner Construction Company has secured a contract to build a $186-million patient care tower on Westchester Medical Center’s Valhalla, New York campus. Construction is set to begin at the end of 2023 and will result in the addition of 128 hospital beds to serve patients needing trauma care, neurosciences, cardiology and general surgery. The additional beds will increase patient care capacity and enhance training for medical residents and students. Alquist 3D to Transform Greeley, Colorado, into Epicenter of 3D Construction Printing
Alquist 3D is receiving over $4 million in support and incentives from Greeley and the state of Colorado to transform the region into the epicenter of high-tech 3D home and infrastructure printing. The public-private partnership between the city, state and Alquist also involves close collaboration with Aims Community College to train students and create an economic ecosystem with an emphasis on innovation and workforce development. Central Arizona College celebrated the groundbreaking of the Superstition Mountain Campus expansion project in Pinal County, Arizona, which will provide new buildings for Allied Health and Skilled Trades, as well as renovations to the college’s existing C building. Design-build partners McCarthy Building Companies and Architekton are teaming up with CAC to complete the $40-million, 51,620-square-foot expansion.
