Youth Construction Camp Inspires Next Generation of Leaders

Three dozen middle and high school students from around Arizona discovered the joy of building at a free weeklong construction camp where they used professional power tools and learned from industry professionals. For the second year in a row, The Rosendin Foundation, hosted TRF Camp Build, bringing together local construction companies and volunteers to educate and support campers. Inaugural NextGen Initiative Recipients Announced by Poettker Construction

Poettker Construction has announced the 2024 recipients of its NextGen program. NextGen is a collaboration between Poettker and its education clients to connect students and teachers with the construction of their facilities and unlock interactive opportunities for students to build their futures while advancing communities. Poettker also provides advanced education opportunities through impact contributions or post-high school scholarships. CONEXPO-CON/AGG Champions Mental Health with CIASP Donation

During Mental Health Awareness Month, CONEXPO-CON/AGG is donating $5,000 to the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention, supporting its initiatives in mental health within the construction sector. Founded by the Construction Financial Management Association in 2016, the CIASP’s mission is to dismantle the stigma attached to mental health within the industry. By 2018, it evolved into an independent 501(c)(3) entity, focusing on suicide prevention awareness, providing essential resources, and fostering a community committed to eliminating suicides in construction. AdventHealth Off-Site Emergency Department Opens in Winter Haven

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of a new AdventHealth off-site emergency room in Winter Haven, Florida. The nearly 20,000-square-foot, 24-bed freestanding ER is the first phase to be built on a 42-acre site, which includes space for a full-service hospital and medical office building. The AdventHealth Winter Haven ER features a resuscitation room, a bariatric room, an isolation room, obstetrics-friendly room and pediatric-friendly rooms. Two triage rooms near the lobby help get patients seen and into treatment quickly. The ER offers lab services, X-ray, CT and ultrasound scans.
