Ground Broken on Graphite Solar Project in Utah

Representatives from Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company announced that rPlus Energies recently broke ground on Graphite Solar I, a 104 MWdc /80 MWac utility-scale solar project in Carbon County, Utah. The project will contribute renewable power to Facebook’s new data center in Eagle Mountain. The rPlus Energies team was joined for the groundbreaking by project owner Greenbacker and by Sundt Construction, which will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction lead for the project. Construction is complete on the Orem Family Fitness Center remodel — a 130,000-square-foot addition that has opened in perfect timing with summer of 2021. Big-D Construction served as general manager on the project located in Orem, Utah. The new center features a multitude of new amenities including an elevated running track, racquetball courts, an indoor swimming facility, a bouldering wall and new locker rooms. While the majority of the project was a 96,000-square-foot addition, roughly 32,000 square feet of the existing facility underwent a significant remodel. Construction Complete on 1st Adult Autism Center in Utah

Construction on a new Adult Autism Center for Lifetime Learning located in Murray, the first of its kind in the state of Utah, has been completed. Care at the facility will be provided by Valley Behavioral Health. Big-D Construction served as the general contractor on the project. The construction build site totaled 51,690 square feet and included a large parking lot with 65 parking stalls, a two-story structure and the nearly 15,000-square-foot care center. A recent topping out ceremony marks a major construction milestone for the new 91,500-square-foot MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts. The performing arts center is being constructed in the triangular lot on the corner of Lansdowne and Ipswich Streets. Once complete, the four-story venue will accommodate 5,000 patrons and play host to musical acts from around the globe. Construction has recently been completed on Georgia Southern University’s new Engineering and Research Building, a facility primed to serve as the epicenter for engineering excellence and innovation in southeast Georgia.
