New MOB in New York to Deliver 400,000-SF Class A Office Space

A 30-story medical office building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side recently topped out. Developed by Extell Development Company, the 400,000-square-foot facility, slated for completion in 2025, will house doctors’ offices, medical treatment centers and retail space on the ground floor. Lendlease provided pre-construction services ahead of the tower’s groundbreaking and is serving as construction manager for the development, which is being built on a full-block site located on the east side of First Avenue, between East 79th and East 80th streets. Neenan Archistruction and Northern Nevada HOPES celebrated the grand opening of The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center in Reno, Nevada. The Jerry Smith Community Wellness Center provides services including primary medical care, behavioral health care, case management, resource navigation, support groups, substance use treatment, an onsite pharmacy and transportation. The clinic includes a first-floor walk-in clinic, designed to reduce emergency service calls by providing residents an alternative to ambulance-based medical care. Gilbane Building Company, Prestige Construction Group Selected to Build Richmond Diamond District Ballpark

Gilbane Building Company in association with Prestige Construction Group has been selected by the Richmond Flying Squirrels to build a new stadium to support the Richmond Flying Squirrels and Virginia Commonwealth University. The planned 10,000-seat Richmond Diamond District Ballpark will have an industrial, warehouse feel meant to pay homage to Richmond‘s railway lineage. The stadium project, managed by Machete Group, is the cornerstone of the large-scale, multi-billion-dollar Diamond District development. The project will be delivered in under two years, in time for the 2026 baseball season. The project’s goal is to spend 40% of the improvement cost of the entire project on emerging small businesses and minority business enterprises.
