Renovation projects at two of metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia’s historical educational institutions: Spelman College in Atlanta, the nation’s oldest historically Black college for women, and Agnes Scott College in Decatur, a historically female university serving Atlanta for over 130 years, are complete. The $1.5-million projects add specialized amenities to both campuses. Swinerton Builders served as the general contractor on both projects. Helix Electric installed a prefabricated electrical building at the Orinda Water Treatment Plant. It will provide cleaner drinking water to more than 800,000 East Bay residents in both Contra Costa and Alameda counties in Northern California. The installation supports East Bay Municipal Utility District’s $267-million project to reduce disinfection byproducts in the water supply. Project partners include EBMUD and Flatiron Construction.
