Balfour Beatty announced the official openings of two major transportation projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. In December, the Havelock Bypass project officially opened to vehicular traffic, a significant achievement in reducing congestion and improving hurricane evacuation routes along a portion of U.S. 70. Balfour Beatty’s scope of work included constructing approximately 9.2 miles of four-lane, divided highway with interchanges, bridges and environmental features designed to protect the Croatan National Forest. Willmeng Completes First New Mesa Public Library in 30 Years

Willmeng Construction completed the new Mesa Gateway Library, the first public library to be built in the city in 30 years. The project, located in the heart of the Eastmark Great Park, is a community centerpiece designed to serve its users for generations to come. Willmeng led the construction of the 28,272-square-foot facility, which was designed by architecture firm Richärd Kennedy Architects. Robins & Morton, AdventHealth Break Ground on AdventHealth Auburndale ER

Construction firm Robins & Morton joined AdventHealth to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new AdventHealth Auburndale ER on Jan. 8 in Auburndale, Florida. The facility will feature 12 private exam rooms, advanced imaging including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound and a full-service lab. Families can also expect pediatric emergency care, pharmacy services and respiratory therapy. The 13,000+ square-foot facility is also expected to create more than 35 new jobs. McCarthy Tops Out Project at Vantage Data Centers’ Campus outside Reno, Nevada

General contractor McCarthy Building Companies completed the topping out milestone for Vantage Data Centers’ second of four planned data centers on its NV1 Campus outside of Reno in Storey County, Nevada. With representatives from Storey County and Vantage leadership in attendance, the project marked significant progress on the NV12 facility, the second 64-megawatt data center on the campus. Phase I of the campus provides hyperscalers and large cloud providers with 128 MW of combined critical IT capacity across its NV11 and NV12 facilities. Alameda Unified School District Completes Multi-Sport Stadium Renovation at Encinal High School

Representatives from the Alameda Unified School District, project team, staff, students and community members gathered to celebrate the completion of Encinal Jr. & Sr. High School’s stadium renovation. Made possible due to funding from Bond Measure B, the new track and field stadium was designed by Quattrocchi Kwok Architects and built by Bothman Construction. The new 47,000-square-foot stadium replaces the school’s outdated track and field with modern facilities and artificial turf to accommodate soccer, tackle and flag football, and track and field events.
