AP Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New Rawlins High School

RAWLINS, Wyo. – Braving sub-zero temperatures, AP Wyoming, L.M. Olson and the community of Rawlins, Wyoming celebrated the ribbon cutting at the new Rawlins High School for Carbon County School District #1. The $58-million state-of-the-art replacement high school includes a new swim center with a lap pool, diving pool and water slides. The new school was built adjacent to the existing high school, which maintained phased-active occupancy throughout construction. Rice University and JE Dunn Construction recently held a topping out celebration when the structure for the final floor of the new parking garage and office building project was put in place for Rice University located in Houston, Texas. The new six-story, 67,000-square-foot office facility will house administrative departments on levels 2-6. A portion of the first floor will house shared meeting spaces to be made available to students during the evenings. The Korte Company has begun working on a new manufacturing facility in Union, Missouri for Spray Dynamics, a subsidiary of Heat and Control, Inc. The 13.3-acre site will soon be home to Heat and Control’s newest facility. Washington Engineering & Architecture was named the project’s architect and engineer. ATLANTA, Ga. – Winter Construction has topped out the new Solis Hotel Two Porsche Drive. The new eight-story luxury hotel is adjacent to Georgia’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Porsche North America headquarters. The topping out at Solis Hotel is especially notable given the unique design of the roof, which includes a terrace lounge with panoramic views of the Porsche driver development track and landings and takeoffs at the airport.
