Green Build Airport Project Earns Envision Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Green Build’s landside project at San Diego International Airport, San Diego, California, recently received the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s Envision rating system’s Platinum award. Owned by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, the project is the first airport development to receive an ISI Envision award, and is also the 13th project in North America to receive an Envision rating system award. The Green Build development comprised a major expansion of San Diego International Airport’s Terminal 2, which included 10 new gates, a dual-level roadway, enhanced curbside check in, more security lanes and expanded concession area. … Read more

Rice University Breaks Ground on New Project

Rice University recently broke ground on the highly anticipated new parking garage and office annex project on the Houston, Texas campus. The six-story, 66,710-square-foot office building will house up to 295 work spaces, depending on office layouts. The east side of the building will be connected to a new seven-level parking garage with 450+ parking spaces. Winter Construction Awarded Contract to Build New Solis Hotel

ATLANTA, Ga. – Winter Construction is building the new Solis Hotel Two Porsche Drive, located adjacent to the new Porsche Cars North America Headquarters and close to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport International Terminal/Concourse F, in Georgia. The Solis Hotel will be eight stories high with 214 guest rooms and signature suites. The hotel will offer refined and approachable restaurants and bars, and 6,500 square feet of event space that includes a 3,600-square-foot ballroom. FORT MYERS, Fla. – Stevens Construction has been selected as the construction manager for two club enhancement projects at The Sanctuary Golf Club located at 2801 Wulfert Road, Sanibel, Florida. Stevens Construction is demolishing the existing fitness center and constructing a new 6,000-square-foot fitness facility and sports pool. Hill International Receives Two Contracts from GSA Region 5

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Hill International has received two contracts from the U.S. General Services Administration to provide construction manager as agent services during the modernization of two federal buildings in GSA’s Region 5. The two contracts have an estimated combined value to Hill of approximately $3 million. The first project is the J.W. Peck Federal Building, a 10-story office building located at 550 Main Street in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.
