Dana B. Kenyon Company and Gresham Smith have completed a new multispecialty surgery center, home to Jax Spine & Pain Centers and UF Health Jacksonville, under the direction of UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. in Florida. One of the largest freestanding multispecialty surgery centers in the region, the 54,000-square-foot facility was designed and constructed to offer specialized healthcare services, outpatient surgeries, interventional spine procedures and pain management. DBK delivered this facility using its design-build approach and partnered with Gresham Smith, the architect and interior designer, and ETM, the civil engineer. Construction Complete on Houston Methodist Sugar Land Medical Office Building

Construction of two structures on the campus of Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, located in the greater Houston, Texas area, is complete. The project included a six-story medical office building and an attached seven-level parking garage. Ground was broken in December 2021. McCarthy Building Companies served as the project construction manager, with Page as the project architect and Jacobs as the owner’s representative. McCarthy Completes Largest Public Port Project on Texas Coast

McCarthy has completed construction of Berth 8 at Port Freeport, Texas. Part of the Velasco Terminal, Berth 8 features over 925 feet of berth and an associated roll-on/roll-off dock extension. The expansion represents the single largest project built by a public port on the Texas Gulf Coast. McCarthy began construction in 2020 and achieved substantial completion in May 2023. Cadence McShane Construction Company has completed the McKinney Building C industrial project, located in McKinney, Texas. The project was completed for CORE5 Industrial Partners. The McKinney Building C industrial project is a warehouse featuring 279,356 square feet of industrial space. The project boasts a 32-foot clear height, 48 overhead dock doors and four drive-up ramps in a cross-dock configuration. The lot will have 50 trailer spaces and 249 parking spaces. Western Specialty Contractors was part of the team that transformed a seven-story historic building in downtown Peoria, Illinois into OSF HealthCare’s new Ministry Headquarters. Western replaced the building’s old roof with a low-maintenance roof garden system designed to alleviate stormwater runoff, extend the life of the roof and add aesthetic value. Most recently owned by Caterpillar, the building along with the Peoria Professional Building and an adjacent parking lot were donated to OSF HealthCare in January 2018.
