Groundbreaking was recently celebrated for a new residence hall complex for Cal Poly Humboldt, located in California, and the largest student housing project in the university’s history. The 964-bed Cal Poly Humboldt Student Housing Project will offer two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments with common lounges, study areas, conference spaces, computer and TV rooms, onsite laundry and a fitness center. Ground Broken on Charlotte’s Queensbridge Collective Mixed-Use Development

Ground was recently broken on Queensbridge Collective, a transformative mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clark Construction Group is serving as construction manager-at-risk. Other project team members include Riverside Investment & Development, Woodfield Development, Goettsch Partners and CBRE . Located at a popular intersection in Charlotte’s South End Neighborhood, the development includes a 42-story multifamily tower with 409 units; a 35-story, 600,000-square-foot office building; nearly 30,000 square feet of retail and 1,600 parking spaces. The project, awarded to Skanska, AECOM and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill by Penn District Station Developer LLC in 2020, aimed to modernize and widen LIRR’s 33rd Street train hall corridor, while maintaining the station’s daily operations and train service. In a significant step toward addressing homelessness among Skid Row residents, a 19-story tower for the Weingart Center Association tops out construction.
