Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute Opens in Winter Park Village

Stevens Construction has completed Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Winter Park Village, Florida. The company completed an interior 37,000-square-foot renovation of an existing building into a new cancer center, which includes an expansive treatment room, PET CT suite, blood draw room, laboratory, pharmacy, research offices, exam rooms, check-out and scheduling area and employee lounge. FCS incorporates principles of Evidence-Based Design, which have been proven to ease patient anxiety while offering opportunities for privacy or support during treatment. Stevens Construction led the project with Heilman Architecture, P.A. and Peninsula Engineering.

Regents Approve More than $328M in New Construction at Texas A&M

The Texas A&M University System’s meteoric growth was fueled as regents voted to approve spending more than $328 million on capital projects across the state. The university system has more than $4.1 billion worth of construction projects in planning and design, construction or development in Texas. Harkins Announces Expansion with Opening of New Central Virginia/Tidewater Office

Harkins announced the opening of its new office in Richmond, Virginia, a geographic expansion that reflects the company’s growth into Central Virginia/Tidewater. The new office will be led by Senior Project Manager Damion Pizarro. In his role, Pizarro will manage, develop, maintain and oversee all functions of assigned projects in the preconstruction, construction and post-construction phases. The structural steel topping out of the new airport administration building at the San Diego International Airport (California) was recently celebrated with a ceremony, including the signing of the final steel beam, as well as a barbeque. Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, located in Grand Chute, Wisconsin, will look a lot different when the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers take the field in 2023. Third Base Ventures, the owners of the Rattlers, announced a major renovation project for the home of the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The project will be undertaken by Boldt Construction with the design provided by Pendulum Studio. Boldt built the stadium, which opened in 1995.
