Associated Builders and Contractors has named the winners of the 2025 ABC Construction Management Competition and the 36th annual National Craft Championships. The national craft championships celebrate and recognize upskilling in construction, drawing some of the country’s most talented craft professionals and highlighting the important role that craft skills training plays in the construction industry. McCarthy Building Companies celebrated the concrete pour topping out of the Sun Family Campus, the $500-million Hoag Hospital Irvine expansion project located in Irvine, California. Additional project members include LPA Design Studios, KPFF Consulting, TK1SC, Pan Pacific Plumbing and Nevell Group. The Irvine expansion project, expected to be complete in 2026, will add 450,000 square feet of new specialty care centers featuring two inpatient hospital buildings, two outpatient medical offices, a logistics building and an expansion to an existing inpatient hospital, in addition to dedicated urgent care services for cancer patients. Riverside University Health System and PMB joined local leaders to celebrate the topping-out on The Wellness Village in Mead Valley, which will transform healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services. Rosendin, an electrical contracting company, has recognized Texas A&M University for winning the 2025 Associated Schools of Construction Regions 6 & 7 Student Competition’s Electrical Problem. The competitive event was held during ASC’s Construction Management Conference held Feb. 5-8 at the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada.
