Willmeng Construction completed the new Mesa Gateway Library, the first public library to be built in the city in 30 years. The project, located in the heart of the Eastmark Great Park, is a community centerpiece designed to serve its users for generations to come. CIM Shatters Records, Raises $2.325 Million At 2026 Auction
The National Steering Committee for the Concrete Industry Management program announced that its annual auction, held in conjunction with the World of Concrete on Wednesday, Jan. 21, raised more than $2.325 million in gross proceeds — a new record for the event. The auction featured a wide array of high-value items generously donated by industry leaders. Of special note, three concrete mixer trucks were generously donated through collaborative partnerships between Con-Tech Manufacturing Co. with both Mack Trucks and Peterbilt Motors Company and Revolution Concrete Mixers with Papé Kenworth and Kenworth Truck Company. ABC: Nonresidential Construction Adds Solid 27,900 Jobs in January
The construction industry added 33,000 jobs on net in January, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has grown by 44,000 jobs, an increase of 0.5%. Nonresidential construction employment expanded by 27,900 positions, with gains in 2 of the 3 subcategories. Nonresidential specialty trade added 25,100 jobs, while nonresidential building added 3,600 new positions. Heavy and civil engineering lost 800 jobs in January.
