The November 2021 issue of the CPWR Data Bulletin examines construction safety management during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new Data Bulletin summarizes impacts of COVID-19 on businesses and on safety and health priorities, including plans, practices and policies to prevent viral spread. It analyzes data from Census Bureau’s weekly Small Business Pulse Surveys and from the 2021 Construction Safety Management Survey by Dodge Data & Analytics with support from CPWR. Construction Complete on New Eight-Acre Life Plan Community in Fairfield, California
Construction is complete on The Ridge at Paradise Valley Estates, a new eight-acre life plan community located in Fairfield, California. Sundt Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor. The Ridge features a mix of 70 cottages and villas. The private cottages have two bedrooms and attached garages, and the villas are either one bedroom or two bedrooms with under-building parking. International Code Council, Modular Building Institute Release New Standards for Offsite Construction
The International Code Council and the Modular Building Institute have published two new comprehensive standards that will accelerate the offsite construction industry. ICC/MBI 1200-2021 Standard for Off-Site Construction: Planning, Design, Fabrication and Assembly and ICC/MBI 1205-2021 Standard for Off-Site Construction: Inspection and Regulatory Compliance are intended to promote consistency around the globe of regulatory requirements for offsite construction processes. Construction Begins on New 72,000-SF Arizona Humane Society Campus, Medical Complex
Ground has been broken for the Arizona Humane Society Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus, located in Phoenix. The new 72,000-square-foot campus and medical complex will be a state-of-the-art facility that will create a sustainable, long-term system of care for the Valley’s most vulnerable animals.
