The Reno Cyclery construction project in Nevada was recently awarded to general contractor SR Construction, Inc. for Phase I of the 9,793-square-foot building. It will be a full-service bike shop intended to provide bike sales, repairs, maintenance services, as well as provide bike tours. Construction firms are struggling to find enough qualified workers to hire even as they continue to be impacted by pandemic-induced project delays and supply chain disruptions, according to the results of a workforce survey conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America and Autodesk. AP Tops Out Potter County District Courts Building
A topping out ceremony was held to sign the final beam prior to placing it on top of the building Potter County’s District Courts Building, Potter County, Texas, officially marking the midpoint of construction and bringing the replacement facility one step closer to completion. The project team includes AP and HOK Group Inc. The new building will replace the previous location and relieve the county of increasing maintenance expenses. The American Iron and Steel Institute has published AISI S250-21, North American Standard for Thermal Transmittance of Building Envelopes With Cold-Formed Steel Framing, 2021 Edition, as a single source for calculating the thermal transmittance of walls and ceiling/roof envelope assembles that contain cold-formed steel framing.
