FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Tutor Perini Corporation’s subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp., has been awarded a contract by Wurzak Hotel Group and DoveHill for construction of a dual-branded Tribute Portfolio and Element by Westin Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The contract value was not disclosed. The project scope of work includes construction of a new 24-story, 323-room hotel to be comprised of a 209-room Tribute Portfolio Hotel and a 114-room Element by Westin Hotel within the same structure. Knutson Construction Celebrates Water Park Grand Opening

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. —The Lagoon at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, located in Welch, Minnesota, celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Construction Spending Ends Year on Mixed Note

Construction spending inched up in December from a month earlier and increased solidly over the year but the major components showed divergent trends, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America.
