3M is premiering a new documentary film, “Skilled,” to celebrate the skilled trades and break down stereotypes that may prevent people from pursuing these vital careers. “Skilled” features four trade workers — a plumber, fall protection specialist, welder and film gaffer — at various stages in their careers and highlights the meaningful opportunities offered within the trades. McCarthy Building Companies Selected as Contractor for Expansion of Sioux Falls Regional Water Reclamation Plant

McCarthy Building Companies Inc.’s Water Services team has been selected as the construction manager at-risk for the $215-million expansion of the Sioux Falls Regional Water Reclamation Plant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The first major expansion since the plant was built in the 1980s, it is expected to increase the facility’s capacity by 50% — from 21 to 30 million gallons per day — and enhance operational efficiencies to meet growing demand throughout the community and region. Rosendin has recognized and congratulated the winning teams in the 2023 Associated Schools of Construction Regions 6 & 7 Student Competition’s Electrical Challenge. The annual competition attracts the nation’s construction and engineering college students who have 14 hours to develop building solutions using real-world applications. Friendship Campus Receives California State Approval to Begin Construction, Project Delivery Group Joins as General Contractor

The Friendship Foundation has received final approval from the State of California’s Division of the State Architect and permits to begin construction on its new Friendship Campus for intellectually and physically diverse students in Redondo Beach, Calif. FF has selected Project Delivery Group as the general contractor for this phase of construction, which includes remaining demolition, earthwork, utility prep and foundation work for the 64,000-square-foot facility. Public Safety Training Center Breaks Ground at Crafton Hills College

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. joined more than 150 members of Crafton Hills College leadership, elected officials, fire chiefs and other stakeholders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Public Safety Training Center at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, Calif. The development was made possible by Measure CC, a bond approved by voters in 2018 to fund upgrades in the San Bernardino Community College District.
