Joint Venture Completes Design-Build Work on 1st Wastewater Treatment Plant in B.C.

Design-Build work has been completed on the first wastewater treatment plant in Victoria, British Columbia. The McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant provides tertiary treatment for wastewater from the core area municipalities of Victoria, Esquimalt, Saanich, Oak Bay, View Royal, Langford and Colwood, and the Esquimalt and Songhees nations. Work at the facility began in 2017 by Harbour Resource Partners, a joint venture between AECOM and Graham. With near-zero construction waste, the store is designed to reduce energy needs for heating and cooling compared to standard construction builds. PCL Construction Celebrates Grand Opening of Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge

The grand opening of the $35-million Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, was recently celebrated with a fireworks show. PCL Construction served as the general contractor. Named after the longtime Cochrane resident, the Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge does what he was best known for: connect the community. First Ground-Up Project Complete for Turner Vancouver, British Columbia Team

Turner Construction Company’s Vancouver, British Columbia team celebrated its first ground-up project, with the recent completion of the Heather Place Redevelopment for Metro Vancouver Housing, located in Canada. The project included the construction of a five-story, 67-residential rental unit building, complete with a cast-in-place concrete structure, with fiberglass windows, a combination of metal, cement, brick veneer as well as exposed architectural concrete making up the exterior finishes.
