Revised Scaffolding Assessment Now Available

NCCER recently revised its Scaffolding written assessment and Performance Verification. Journey-level scaffold builders who successfully complete both the written assessment and Performance Verification can become Certified Plus, NCCER’s highest credential. Training prescriptions are provided to all individuals who take the written assessment. These prescriptions allow for upgrade training and provide scaffold builders the opportunity to acquire valuable skills while earning credentials for their training completions.

Thomas Promoted to Skanska Senior VP of Operations

Top Beam Placed on Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building

A construction milestone was celebrated March 3 at the new Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building, as the final beam was placed atop the 10-story building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Located on the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix campus at 475 N. Fifth St., the 245,000-square-foot research building will be a hub for healthcare and scientific innovation when it opens in early 2017. The Center for Applied Nanoscience and Biomedicine will be headquartered in the building. Brasfield & Gorrie Completes New Coca-Cola Distribution, Sales Center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Brasfield & Gorrie joined Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. for a recent ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the new Coca-Cola Bottling Company United distribution and sales center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Situated on a 38-acre site that was previously home to Olan Mills, the single-story, 350,000-square-foot facility includes 231,000 square feet of warehouse space, as well as 40,000 square feet of office space, a fleet maintenance shop and a truck wash bay.
