A major milestone has been achieved on the Port of Beaumont (Texas)’s Main Street Terminal 1 project — driving the last concrete pile after a year-long process. The milestone was recently commemorated with an event attended by officials from the Port of Beaumont, general contractor McCarthy Building Companies’ employees and trade partners. Delta Group will commence demolition of the former Queen’s Wharf Visitor Centre, which will require construction of new external hoarding on the corner of George and Alice streets in Brisbane, Australia. For the past 2 1/2 years, the Queens Wharf Visitor Centre has been a key attraction for tourists and locals, alike.
