Dalaman Becomes World’s First Airport Terminal Powered Entirely by Rooftop Solar

In 2022, Ferrovial Airports reached an agreement with Turkish Infrastructure company YDA Group to acquire a 60% stake in the company that manages the Dalaman International Airport concession located in Southwest Turkey. The project has reached a major milestone in sustainable aviation, becoming the first airport terminal globally to meet 100% of its electricity demand solely through rooftop solar installations. Ferrovial Builds Satellite Control and Operation Center in Spain

Construction is complete on a Satellite Control Center for Hisdesat on a site in Hoyo de Manzanares, Madrid, provided by Spain’s Ministry of Defense. The project was completed on schedule in 13 months. Ferrovial served as the general contractor. With the most advanced technology in Europe, the facilities will enhance Hisdesat’s capabilities in preparation for the entry into operation of the two new SpainSat NG satellites, to be launched in the coming months.
