Yorizon, a joint venture between HOCHTIEF subsidiary HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions and German server and storage systems manufacturer Thomas-Krenn.AG, will be building a network of sustainable, decentralized and locally integrated data centers in Europe. New offices and an administrative building for the German Parliament will be built on one of Berlin’s most historic streets by the end of 2026 to replace the demolished building. The sustainable concept envisages the use of alternative energies, such as geothermal energy and photovoltaics. WBG KOMMUNAL GmbH has commissioned STRABAG subsidiary ZÜBLIN to carry out the structural timber construction, as well as the roof and façade works, for the new Martin Behaim Gymnasium in Nuremberg, Germany. The timber construction project also includes the construction of a dining hall and indoor sports facilities. The design for the new school building comes from the architecture firm Caramel. Contractor Selected to Build Ultra-Fast Charging Stations across Germany
French construction firm Vinci recently won a deal to acquire land and then build and operate 106 charging stations for electric vehicles across Germany. The Germany Ministry for Digital and Transport has awarded Vinci Concessions three contracts to develop the ultra-fast (400kW power rating) charging stations. The development represents a total investment in excess of €200 million. In total, it will see the installation of 828 individual charging points. HOCHTIEF has been awarded the contract to build a new central location for the NRW University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration in Herne, Germany for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. HOCHTIEF will rent the university campus to HSPV and deliver operational services for an initial 20 years after completion, which is scheduled for winter semester 2027.
