Gilbane Building Company, Gensler and the entire project team celebrated the official opening of the 225 Wyman Street development, a 507,000-square-foot, five-story, ground-up life sciences facility in Massachusetts. LEED Gold designed by Gensler; the new facility is engineered to accommodate a 60% lab to 40% office ratio. It offers tenants large, flexible, column-free floor plates for custom workplace configurations with additional structural and MEP capacity to accommodate a range of lab tenant needs. Gilbane Building Company has completed the renovation and expansion of the new Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center for the City of Orlando, Florida. Gilbane partnered with Borrelli + Partners and JCB Construction to provide Design-Build services to expand and renovate an existing 1926 Mediterranean revival architecture building that originally served the community as a school. In 1995, the building was designated as a historic landmark.
