Contract Signed for 1st Comprehensive City Center University Campus in Western Australia

Stantec was recently selected as lead engineer for the Edith Cowan University City in Perth (Western Australia). The firm is part of a consortium of local, national and international architects and engineers that will design the AUS $695-million project — Western Australia’s first comprehensive city center university campus. Stantec will provide civil and structural engineering, as well as building and traffic planning services. Delivered by a collaborative team of builders, architects and engineers, Manchester Engineering Campus Development represents the single-largest construction project ever completed by a higher education institution in the UK. For the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, the BESIX-Orascom Construction joint venture, with the support of its subcontractor Sarens and in cooperation with the Egyptian authorities, has carried out the transport of the King Khufu Solar Boat from the archaeological site of the Giza pyramids to a dedicated building within the Grand Egyptian Museum, located in al-Giza, Egypt.
