A popular section of footpath, which is part of the Trans Pennine Trail, is reopening after an upgrade to flood defenses on Hull’s Victoria Dock Village western frontage, located in England. The majority of the path has opened so people can walk along the estuary front from The Deep up to the corner at the Half Tide Basin. These improvements are part of the £42 million tidal flood defense scheme for Hull. The new defenses will improve tidal flood protection for 113,000 homes and businesses. First Ground-Up Project Complete for Turner Vancouver, British Columbia Team

Turner Construction Company’s Vancouver, British Columbia team celebrated its first ground-up project, with the recent completion of the Heather Place Redevelopment for Metro Vancouver Housing, located in Canada. The project included the construction of a five-story, 67-residential rental unit building, complete with a cast-in-place concrete structure, with fiberglass windows, a combination of metal, cement, brick veneer as well as exposed architectural concrete making up the exterior finishes. The Red Sea Development Company, the developer behind Saudi Arabia’s flagship international regenerative tourism initiative The Red Sea Project, has awarded to date more than 500 contracts to international and local firms. Collectively worth around SAR 7.5 billion ($2 billion), these include awards for the design, build and operation of the following projects: Archirodon is constructing a crossing linking Shurayrah Island (the destination’s main hub) to the mainland, as well as a number of jetties.
