Bechtel-ENKA JV Completes Kosovo Motorway as Centerpiece of Regional Economic Growth

Bechtel and joint-venture partner ENKA have completed the construction of Kosovo Motorway Route 6, a 40-mile, four-lane motorway that stretches from the country’s capital, Pristina, to North Macedonia. The new route, which is now open to traffic and reduces travel in half to 45 minutes, forms a key part of Kosovo’s national roads network intended to boost trade and connectivity with its neighbors and Western Europe. PORR to Build 3T Office Park in Poland’s Tri-City

3T Office Park, the largest office complex in the region, is taking shape in Gdynia, one of the three cities that make up Poland’s Tri-City (Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot). PORR S.A is the general contractor of the investment project, while Gleed Polska is responsible for the comprehensive project management and coordination regarding the building’s BREEAM certification. Bechtel International Team Completes Chernobyl Arch Project

Bechtel ‘s international team at Chernobyl (Ukraine) has successfully concluded a critical test that signifies the completion of a decades-long effort to protect the environment. The massive containment arch is now complete and in place over the damaged reactor – 33 years to the day after the 1986 accident. The arch, known as New Safe Confinement, will protect the environment from further releases of radioactive materials, and protect the damaged reactor from weather, tornado and seismic events.
