Balfour Beatty Living Places and green infrastructure experts, Biotecture, are set to deliver a UK first on behalf of Southampton City Council, as works to install the first hydroponic living wall on a highway’s scheme commenced this summer. VINCI Construction Delivers Atlantic Bridge in Panama

Panamanian President Laurentino Cortizo, and Panama Canal Administrator Jorge Quijano, recently unveiled the Atlantic Bridge in Colón, located in Panama. This 4.6-kilometer structure, including 3.1 kilometers of engineering structures, located 3 kilometers from the Gatun and Agua Clara locks, creates a new link between the North American and South American continents that can be used whether the canal locks are in operation or not. Plenary Consortium Selected for Corner Brook Acute Care Facility Project

Corner Brook Health Partnership consortium has been selected to design, build, finance and maintain a new acute care hospital in Corner Brook, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, with an estimated contract value of $750 million. The new seven-story, 600,000-square-foot hospital will be connected to the 145-bed long-term care home that Plenary Health is building on the site. NCC to Build New North Zealand Super Hospital

The Hovedstaden region of Denmark has chosen NCC to construct the New North Zealand Hospital, the last of the super hospitals to be built in Denmark. NCC and the New North Zealand Hospital will now work out the details and plan to sign an agreement during the fourth quarter. The hospital will comprise a four-story, 118,000-square-meter building.
