Bechtel ‘s international team at Chernobyl (Ukraine) has successfully concluded a critical test that signifies the completion of a decades-long effort to protect the environment. The massive containment arch is now complete and in place over the damaged reactor – 33 years to the day after the 1986 accident. The arch, known as New Safe Confinement, will protect the environment from further releases of radioactive materials, and protect the damaged reactor from weather, tornado and seismic events. The PCL family of companies has received its first International Living Future Institute’s Petal Certification for the Calgary Zoo’s Panda Passage, located in Alberta, Canada. Hill International Selected for Project, Construction Management Services for Qatar Airport Expansion
Hill International was recently selected to provide project management and construction management services for the expansion of Hamad International Airport in the state of Qatar. The project features the expansion of the existing passenger terminal complex, additional e-gates, a remote transfer baggage facility, new duty-free and passenger amenity areas, new lounges and a hotel fit-out, additional taxiways, stands and aprons, new and expanded fuel farms, support facilities and associated infrastructure.
