PORR to Build Rail Tunnel for Erdinger Ringschluss at Munich Airport

Flughafen München GmbH has charged PORR with the extension of the existing railway tunnel, which will be expanded by around 1.8 kilometers to the east. The project cost is roughly EUR $110 million. The tunnel will primarily be driven using the cut-and-cover method. What makes this project special is the exceptionally tight timeline relating to the eastern area of the airfield of the satellite terminal, where around 250 meters of the tunnel will be built. New Bridge Opens Across UK’s Biggest Road Project

The A14 Integrated Delivery Team, comprised of Balfour Beatty, Skanska and Costain, has completed the second of 34 bridges and main structures on the UK’s biggest road project. The newly opened bridge forms part of Highways England’s £1.5 billion major improvement scheme on the A14. Gammon Construction Wins Contract for Lyric Theatre in West Kowloon Cultural District

Gammon Construction Limited has been awarded a HK$1.5 billion contract by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong to deliver the extended basement and public infrastructure works for the L1 Contract for Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement at WKCD. The project involves excavation and lateral support followed by construction of a two-level reinforced concrete structure, as well as public infrastructure works including drainage, a traffic lay-by and associated temporary works. CPB Contractors to Deliver Victoria’s West Gate Tunnel Project

Workers have started clearing the site where tunneling will begin for Australia’s West Gate tunnel project. Contractors will dig down more than seven stories, clearing the way for the project’s two tunnel boring machines.
