The new six-story Behavioral Health Teaching Facility, at University of Washington’s Medical Center-Northwest in Seattle, will include 150 patient beds and more than 184,000 square feet of clinical and administrative space. The project will feature 75 long-term civil commitment beds, 25 geropsychiatric beds and 50 licensed med-surgery beds with the capacity to treat patients with psychiatric diagnoses and/or substance use disorders. Gilbane, in a joint venture partnership with cleanroom constructor Exyte, has been awarded the firm fixed price construction of a new a $279-million Advanced Compound Semiconductor Laboratory/Microsystem Integration Facility for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory located at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. The Museum of Science & History has announced the selection of Balfour Beatty and Stellar as a joint venture to lead construction management for the MOSH Genesis project. Balfour Beatty and Stellar will oversee all vertical construction for the $85-million project, which will bring a new museum to the Shipyards East area on the Northbank of Downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
