Tom Porter has joined Stevens Construction as superintendent. Bringing 32 years of experience, Porter has completed more than $350 million in healthcare and commercial construction. He is highly skilled in complex, healthcare projects situated in occupied facilities, fully understanding infection control and project containment protocols. As superintendent, Porter oversees all subcontractors on Stevens Construction’s healthcare projects, ensuring subcontractors achieve schedule and quality goals, while maintaining a safe jobsite. Porter has received his Construction Quality Management for Contractors, OSHA 30-hour, first aid and CPR certifications.
National Construction Company Robins & Morton Opens New Tampa Office
National general contractor and construction management firm, Robins & Morton, recently opened its new Tampa, Florida office. Robins & Morton has worked in Tampa for more than 40 years and has more than $880 million of completed and in-progress work throughout the city in the last ten years – including major healthcare projects for clients such as AdventHealth, Baycare and Tampa Community Hospital. This is the contractor’s third office in Florida, preceded by its Orlando and Miami locations, established in 1999 and 2015.
Anthony LaFata Joins Stevens Construction as Superintendent
Anthony LaFata has joined Stevens Construction as superintendent, bringing 24 years of healthcare and commercial preconstruction experience. He will provide onsite project supervision, ensuring schedule and quality goals are achieved. In addition, he will lead subcontractor coordination, jobsite inspections, foreman and safety meetings, while creating schedules, daily job reports, reviewing cost reports and safety logs.
