Joint Venture Hits Major Construction Milestones on Grand Egyptian Museum

September was full of important milestones for the BESIX and Orascom Construction teams working jointly on the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt, just off the plateau of the Pyramids of Giza. First, the JV team took a significant step toward completion by delivering substantial parts of the cultural masterpiece. Second, the JV won the Autodesk Excellence Award 2022 for Best Construction Project for its use of BIM software, which allowed the team to smoothly coordinate the more than 150 subcontractors on the project. The 23.3-acre Semper Fidelis Memorial Park features 40 memorials, more than a mile of trails and overlooks the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Joint Venture to Lead Construction Management for Museum of Science & History Genesis Project

The Museum of Science & History has announced the selection of Balfour Beatty and Stellar as a joint venture to lead construction management for the MOSH Genesis project. Balfour Beatty and Stellar will oversee all vertical construction for the $85-million project, which will bring a new museum to the Shipyards East area on the Northbank of Downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
