Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, has been selected to deliver exterior and interior renovations to the Salem Civic Center/City Hall in Salem, Oregon to create a 21st century workplace for the mayor and city managers offices, city council chambers, municipal courts and planning and purchasing departments. Roughly $40 million in substantial renovations will be made to the 1970 Civic Center featuring a seismic retrofit and structural upgrades. Renovations Begin on Central Office of Austrian Pension Fund in Vienna

After more than 40 years of operation in Friedrich-Hillegeist-Straße in Vienna, Austria’s second district, the central and regional Viennese offices of the Austrian Pension Fund and the Centre for Outpatient Rehabilitation are undergoing extensive renovation due to signs of aging, such as leaking ceilings or poor thermal insulation. The technical services will be brought up to date and the building will be given an insulation retrofit, with particular attention paid to establishing an ecologically sustainable energy supply. The topping out of the Adobe Restaurant and Clubhouse, the second phase of the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club Renovations project, was recently celebrated by Sundt Construction, alongside owners JDM and design partners Douglas Fredrikson Architects. The second phase of improvements includes a new clubhouse and restaurant with private dining room, ballroom and roof deck. The first phase of the project added a new golf shop, member facilities and cart barn. A contract was recently signed by BESIX Belgium-Luxembourg for the renovation of the 60,147-square-meter office building ‘the Hive,’ which is owned by BNP Paribas Fortis and located in the center of Brussels, Belgium. The project includes full renovation and rehabilitation of the building, with a comprehensive material circularity approach and the early contractor involvement concept from the start.
