Ferrovial Builds Satellite Control and Operation Center in Spain

Construction is complete on a Satellite Control Center for Hisdesat on a site in Hoyo de Manzanares, Madrid, provided by Spain’s Ministry of Defense. The project was completed on schedule in 13 months. Ferrovial served as the general contractor. With the most advanced technology in Europe, the facilities will enhance Hisdesat’s capabilities in preparation for the entry into operation of the two new SpainSat NG satellites, to be launched in the coming months. Construction of Halo Contributes to Enhancing Mobility in Vigo, Spain

Ferrovial, in consortium with Galician construction company Oreco Balgón, has completed construction of the Halo elevator in Vigo, northwestern Spain, which connects the city’s Areal district with the shopping area around Vialia square. This functional infrastructure, which has been inaugurated recently, improves mobility by providing pedestrians with a means of crossing the AP-9 highway, formerly a barrier, and enabling them to access the train and bus stations.
