VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Chesapeake Bay Foundation recently announced the award of the Living Building Challenge certification to the Brock Environmental Center, a 10,000-square-foot facility located on the Lynnhaven River at Pleasure House Point in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For a construction company, designers and engineers achieving this certification required going outside of the typical toolbox for new building methods, renewable technologies and sustainable materials from around the world. Green Build Airport Project Earns Envision Award

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Green Build’s landside project at San Diego International Airport, San Diego, California, recently received the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s Envision rating system’s Platinum award. Owned by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, the project is the first airport development to receive an ISI Envision award, and is also the 13th project in North America to receive an Envision rating system award. 100+ Companies Salute Signing of Paris Agreement, Call For Action On Clean Power Plan

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – More than 100 companies, including leading global giants, expressed their support recently for the Paris Agreement on climate change and called for swift action on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan, a proposal aimed at significantly cutting carbon pollution in the United States.
