SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. recently celebrated the topping out of the new San Diego Central Courthouse in San Diego, California. The topping out recognized the work of the construction crews and project partners as the 25-story, $555-million project was assembled to its full height. When occupied in early 2017, the new courthouse will combine several of the Superior Court of San Diego County’s spaces and offer a full-service facility for criminal, civil, probate, family and small claims matters, with space for court administration, security operations and holding areas. LOUIS, Mo. — MC Industrial, Inc. recently celebrated the topping out of one of its major 2016 projects, the expansion of Boeing’s new composite facility, the St. Louis Composite Center of Excellence, in Missouri. Selected as general contractor for the Design-Build project in 2014, MC Industrial, along with design partner Burns & McDonnell, have managed the design and construction of the multi-million dollar expansion. A construction milestone was celebrated March 3 at the new Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building, as the final beam was placed atop the 10-story building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Located on the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix campus at 475 N. Fifth St., the 245,000-square-foot research building will be a hub for healthcare and scientific innovation when it opens in early 2017. The Center for Applied Nanoscience and Biomedicine will be headquartered in the building. Winter Construction Tops Out at SpringHill Suites in Orange Beach

ATLANTA, GA. – Winter Construction has topped out the new SpringHill Suites hotel at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. The five-story building will include 132 guest suites, meeting space and restaurant space. Winter will also build an exterior amenity area with a swimming pool. Rule Joy Trammel + Rubio served as lead designer for the hotel and the amenity area. CHICAGO, Ill. – Hines, an international real estate firm, held a ceremony recently to celebrate the topping out of River Point, Chicago, Illinois’ ultra-modern 52-story office tower being developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, Hines and Levy Family Partners. The 1.1-million-square-foot building is located in Chicago’s West Loop submarket and is designed by Pickard Chilton.
