A construction milestone was celebrated March 3 at the new Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building, as the final beam was placed atop the 10-story building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Located on the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix campus at 475 N. Fifth St., the 245,000-square-foot research building will be a hub for healthcare and scientific innovation when it opens in early 2017. The Center for Applied Nanoscience and Biomedicine will be headquartered in the building. Winter Construction Tops Out at SpringHill Suites in Orange Beach

ATLANTA, GA. – Winter Construction has topped out the new SpringHill Suites hotel at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. The five-story building will include 132 guest suites, meeting space and restaurant space. Winter will also build an exterior amenity area with a swimming pool. Rule Joy Trammel + Rubio served as lead designer for the hotel and the amenity area. The Wharf is an entertainment, retail and marina complex adjacent to the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Orange Beach, near the Florida-Alabama border. CHICAGO, Ill. – Hines, an international real estate firm, held a ceremony recently to celebrate the topping out of River Point, Chicago, Illinois’ ultra-modern 52-story office tower being developed by Ivanhoé Cambridge, Hines and Levy Family Partners. The 1.1-million-square-foot building is located in Chicago’s West Loop submarket and is designed by Pickard Chilton.
