PORR SUISSE AG has acquired a Design-Build project for Zürich Versicherungs-Gesellschaft AG. The heritage-protected Schader office building is a modern architectural gem in a prime location on the banks of Lake Zurich in Switzerland. The comprehensive refurbishment will be realized within the next 15 months. The contract involves stripping down the building, strengthening the supporting structure and upgrading all of the existing building technology and systems. Balfour Beatty JV Awarded Hong Kong International Airport Expansion Contract

Balfour Beatty and 50/50 joint venture, Gammon, has been awarded a four-year HK$12.88-billion contract for the expansion of terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport, by the Airport Authority Hong Kong. Gammon will be responsible for the expansion of the main terminal 2 building and construction of interconnecting bridges, mechanical and electrical works, as well as associated viaducts and roads. Construction Complete on 1st All-Timber Building in UK’s King’s Cross

Construction of the King’s Cross Sports Hall, a community sports center and gym, located at the northeast edge of the 67-acre King’s Cross development, has now completed in London, England. BAM Construct UK served as general contractor on the project. The building, designed by Bennetts Associates alongside engineering company Arup, features an indoor sports hall and a health and fitness suite over two levels.
