The negotiations between the government of Newfoundland and Labrador and New Avalon Corrections Partners have culminated in a final project agreement, which includes financial close on the Adult Corrections Facility Replacement Project in Canada. In June, ground was broken on the site as the result of an Early Works Agreement valued at approximately $1.5 million, that allowed NACP to begin site preparation while the comprehensive project agreement was being finalized. Fluor Corporation’s joint venture with JGC Corporation has been awarded the contract to update the Front End Engineering and Design for a proposed Phase 2 expansion of the LNG Canada facility located on the traditional territory of Haisla Nation in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada. This award follows the commissioning of Phase 1 with the recent shipment of the project’s first liquefied natural gas export cargo.
